What is Udyam Registration?
Udyam Registration is the latest MSME mechanism launched by the Government of India on 1st july 2020, through which all micro-small and medium-sized enterprises can easily register under it. It was known as the Udyog Aadhaar / MSME registration prior to this process, but now it is known under the name of Udyam.
The registration process for MSMEs has now become simpler since the introduction of Udyam Registration and entrepreneurs can simply register under this udyam portal with an Aadhaar card.
Note: For all existing businesses under the MSME / Udyog Aadhaar Registration, the Government of India has made it mandatory to re-register from UAM to Udyam Registration before 31st march 2021. If they have not been converted on the date given, their registration will be suspended.
Process to Fill Udyam Form
Let us understand the each and ever elements of Udyam Registration Form in details:
APPLICANT NAME (REQUIRED)
You have to enter the name of the person who is applying for Udyam Registration in the applicant name area.
Applicant Name should be:
For Sole Proprietorship Firm: Owner name of proprietorship firm.
For Partnership Firm: Any designated partners name.
For Private Limited Company (PVT): Any designated directors name.
For Public Limited Company (PLC): Any designated directors name.
For Limited Liability Partnership: Any designated directors or partners name.
For all of the above criteria, the name of the applicant must be given in accordance with his or her Aadhaar Card.
You can not change the name of the applicant once the registration is completed, so please provide the name carefully.
MOBILE NUMBER (REQUIRED)
You have to enter your mobile number correctly in this area and the number which you have provided should be linked with your Aadhar card.
You must have the mobile number which is connected with your Aadhaar card, otherwise your phone number will not be approved.
You must share the OTP with our representative for further processing of the Udyam registration application, after completing the form you will get the OTP on your given mobile number.
EMAIL ID (REQUIRED)
You have to fill in your correct email id in the email address field, after the registration certificate is sent to this email only.
OFFICE ADDRESS, STATE, DISTRICT & PINCODE (REQUIRED)
In this area, along with the state, district and pincode of your registered business address, you must have to fill out the correct office address.
Note: You can not alter your state & district once the registration is completed, so please provide it carefully.
ANNUAL TURNOVER & INVESTMENT IN PLANT & MACHINERY
The details of sales you have made during the year generally known as annual turnover have to be filled in the annual turnover area and in the plant & machinery field you have to enter the amount that you invested in the plant and machinery in your company.
You have to fulfill the following category for registration:
Investment in plant and machinery or equipment
Should not exceed INR 1 Crore
Should not exceed INR 5 Crore
Should not exceed INR 10 Crore
Should not exceed INR 50 Crore
Should not exceed INR 50 Crore
Should not exceed INR 250 Crore
Note: Information of the above details should be given as per the income tax & goods and service tax.
In this field you have to select the option from which social category you belongs i.e General Caste / Scheduled caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) / Other Backward Classes.
AADHAAR NUMBER (REQUIRED)
In this field enter your 12-digit Aadhaar card number.
You can not update the Aadhaar number after registration, so fill it out carefully.
You need to provide the aadhaar number of the company's owner belongs from sole proprietorship firm and the aadhaar card number of any designated partner or director can be provided for partnership company, pvt ltd company, public ltd company and LLP.
If an applicant does not have an aadhaar number, then at the enrollment centre he/she must apply for an aadhaar card. Once you obtain an Aadhaar number, you can apply for Udyam Registration successfully.
PREVIOUS UAM NUMBER (WRITE NA IF NOT AVAILABLE)
If you already have existing companies under the previous MSME / Udyog Aadhaar, then you have the udyog certificate under which you will find (Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum) UAM number.
If you register with the MSME for the first time, just type NA under the field for Not Available.
Note: The Indian government has spread the advisory to transform old Udyog aadhaar certificates into new udyam registrations before 31st march 2021. Check for Udyam Re-Registration.
PAN CARD NUMBER (WRITE NA IF NOT AVAILABLE)(REQUIRED)
You have to provide your Permanent Account Number (PAN) in this field and you can simply write NA (Not Available) if you do not have the PAN card number.
PAN card and GSTIN are mandatory for any form of business registration such as pvt ltd company, public company ltd, llp, etc.
Only one PAN card can be used for single registration by enterprises.
For proprietorship companies, the PAN card is not necessary because it is not considered a legal structure. But it will become mandatory for the proprietorship body, according to a government notification after 1 April 2021.
A business that does not provide its PAN card number must provide it on or after 1 April 2021, as the Government of India makes it mandatory.
BANK ACCOUNTS DETAILS & IFSC CODE
You have to include details of your bank account number and IFSC code in this field.
Note: This can be changed after registration if wrong information has been given by mistake.
BUSINESS NAME (REQUIRED) & DATE OF COMMENCEMENT
You have to enter the name of the organisation or enterprise you are running and then fill in the date when your company has started working. Since the Udyam Registration Certificate contains this information so it is required.
Note: After registration has been completed, you will not change the name of the company. Only you can correct the spelling error, so carefully fill it.
TYPES OF ORGANISATION
The option for organisation form i.e. private or public limited company, sole proprietorship corporation, limited liability partnership, government agency, etc., must be selected in this area.
Note: No organisation can establish separate udyam registrations for various entities.
MAIN BUSINESS ACTIVITY OF BUSINESS
In this field you have to select the option for your main business activity belonging from the manufacturing industry or service industry.try.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS ABOUT THE BUSINESS
Describe your company in some words for extra information in this field. (for instance, food product manufacturing, business consultant service extra information here).
NUMBER OF PERSON EMPLOYED
There are three categories for males, females and others in this field. The number of people working in each gender group must be defined here.
